The PTFA of Brampton Abbotts C of E Primary School is run by parents of children from the school and teachers.
We aim to help provide extra activities, equipment and events for the children whilst providing a good opportunity for parents to get to know each other and have fun. In the past, we have subsidised a whole school visit to the pantomime at the Courtyard Theatre Hereford and have paid for buses for other visits. We organised a fantastic Leavers' Prom Disco and have funded sports kit. The tyre area, climbing wall and ping pong table in the playground were part funded by the PTFA. We help to provide the little extras like ice lollies as a reward for all the effort the children put into Sports Day.
In order to provide this, we spend much of our time fundraising and organising events. Our events have included sponsored events, bingo evenings and bag packing in Morrisons. The two biggest events in our calendar are the annual Summer Fete which features many stalls, games and exhibitions from the children and the Christmas bazaar where Father Christmas even joins us for the evening!
We also like to support the wider community. We have donated towards Aquaid which ensures that our children have access to fresh water from a water cooler and also helps fund water pumps in Africa. In the past, we have also helped fund the Jumpstart toddler group.
We are always looking for more committee members and volunteers to help with our fund raising efforts. If you have any time to spare please contact the PTFA via the school office or come along to one of our meetings.
